While Firefox allows a user to disable the use of JavaScript, for most users that's simply too much of a pain to be useful - there are certain sites that you know that you need to have JavaScript enabled for.

Enter NoScript. It allows you to disable JavaScript globally, and then selectively whitelist trusted sites, for more security against all too well-known JavaScript exploits.

Looks like another neat Firefox addition.
